Meet Doctor Frank R. Portell, D.M.D., M.S.

Dr. Portell is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico, School of Dentristry, he received his certificate in Endodontics from the U.S. Army Institute of Dental Research, Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Following his studies in Endodontics, Dr. Portell received a Master of Science in Oral Biology from the George Washington University. Dr. Frank R. Portell completed a 20 years military career in the U.S. Army Dental Corps where he served with distinction as the assistant director of the U.S. Army Endodontic Advanced Training Program. A board-certified endodontists, Dr. Portell served as an assistant clinical profesor at the Medical College of Georgia and the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Portell is a diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, and a fellow of the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Pierre Frauchard Academy. Dr. Portell is married and has two children. Dr. Portell is a past president of the Northern Virginia Dental Society and the Virginia Academy of Endodontists.
